Text & Audio bible coming soon to an iPod near you

Many of my Mac-using-blogmates spend a great deal of time discussing digital music, iPods and the like. I don't. It's not because I don't find it all supremely cool. I'd love to have an iPod. Truth is... who the heck has time to listen to music?

Still, perhaps I'll splurge on a nano this winter.

However, I do think it's worth mentioning here that a new bible product for iPod is due out in February. You can follow along the text of the TNIV as you listen to the audio. It's a good concept, I think.

Although I do have music on my iPod (everything from Bach to Johnny Cash), I use my iPod primarily for audio books, sermons and lectures that I enjoy listening to. It's great for travel or outside work or even when I occasionally make it to the gym.

A bunch of Kiwi's have developed a podbible project which podcasts chapters of the bible. The link is here. I love having my daily chapter podcasted...allows more time for blog reading! And makes a devotional in the car so much safer.
